Commercial Electrician

GEM Environmental Building Services delivers Mechanical and Electrical services for both public and private sector organizations working on domestic and commercial properties across London. We operate on a 24 / 7 / 365 basis providing design, installation and maintenance services across many locations. GEM has and continues to evolve positively as an organization, regularly exceeding industry requirements enabling it to successfully pursue growth in existing and new sectors.

Due to an increased workload not only from within the existing contracts but also as we move into new sectors and projects, we are looking to recruit a fully qualified and experienced Commercial Electrician. The role will be based from our Kentish Town HQ but covering works across our full network (primarily Camden, Islington and Westminster).

Whilst intuitively recognizing industry best practice across installation, diagnostics, repair and safety, any applicants must have a qualification and experience background including:-

• Electrical installation – Time served apprentice or City & Guilds 2360, 2330 or 2365
• Inspection and Test – City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5
• Minimum of 10 years’ industry experience

Applicants must have practical and advance experienced in:-

• Metal containment (conduit / trunking / trays)
• Wiring (T&E / singles / SWA / SY FP200)
• Domestic Installation (power / lighting / boiler controls / immersions)
• Commercial (1ph and 3ph power / lighting / emergency lighting / pumps & motors / Ventilation fans)
• Fire Alarm Installation
• Commercial Boiler House Controls
• Commercial Boiler House BMS

Furthermore, any applicants will be IT literate and fully familiar with NICEIC software and MS Office products and possess strong verbal and analytical communications skills.
